This is a little late, but whatever.
Sarah Palin paraphrased/stole a poem by (IRONICALLY) the veteran Charles M. Province.
Basically, it was something she tweeted, and she did not give credit.
Memorial Day tweet: http://twitter.com/SarahPalinUSA/status/15010655928
Poem: http://iwvpa.net/provincecm/
And Roger Ebert (ebertchicago) replied: "VETS, not Sarah Palin, die in unwinnable wars based on lies."
OH SNAP. You just got schooled, bitch.
Apparently "Mr. Charles M. Province has [requested] that due credit be given to his authorship of the poem". (Quoted in a tweet by JamesUrbaniak)
And THAT is how you give credit where credit is due.

Latest Obsession: MAC To the Beach Collection
I have, and have always had, an all around obsession with mermaids and everything to do with them.
So when I found out MAC had a collection named "To the Beach", complete with ocean-themed images, I was pretty excited.
I probably wouldn't buy it, because I don't really need any of these products, and I have heard that MAC can lead to breakouts.*
But look how pretty!
MAC To the Beach Lipgloss.
This is one of my favorites, because not only does it seem like something I'd actually wear, the seahorse design is by far my favorite of the collection. I'm not really sure what color that is. If I were to guess, I would say it is...Easy Lounger, which is described as a "light baby pink with multidimensional pearl".
That's the other thing: The colors have really cool, beach-themed names. There's a beautiful, "dark green turquoise" eyeliner called "Float on By". Unfortunately, it's sold out. There are lipsticks in "Beachbound", and "Funbathing", which is cute and cheesy at the same time. "Funbathing" reminds me of awful 80s swimsuits, "hair" band beach music videos, and those silly teen beach movies from the 60s.
The lipstick, as you can see, has a very pretty seashell design, and I believe that color is "Beachbound", a "sheer frosted pale peach". I'd probably get "Thrills", a "rosy copper with gold pearl". I've never had a lip color in that shade, and I've heard colors like that can look good on redheads.
Here's the eyeliner, so you can see the cool coral print on the bottom:
I believe that color is "Rosemary & Thyme", a "mid-tone olive gold with shimmer". I really like how MAC has such pretty color descriptions!
Finally, this is my favorite (sorry, lipgloss) of the collection, at least in terms of design: The High-Light Powder.
Pictured are the To the Beach Powder Blush in "Get-Away Bronze", and the High-Light Powder.
The High-Light Powder is called "Marine Life" and features a "whimsical seahorse motif embossed into the powder".
SO pretty! Too bad it's also sold out. Sad face.

*BTW I do NOT mean to imply that MAC produces inferior products. I simply have acne-prone skin, and a friend told me it might aggravate acne. I don't actually know if this is true or not, and I am not an expert in cosmetology.
